I can't put a name to the hoverfly pictured above, but I've also uploaded some pics of it on the main site here.
Birds, Dragonflies, Butterflies, Damsels. Any creature that has feathers or can fly away. This blog is about photographing these 'flying stuff'.

Macro days
Though I don't have a special macro lens, I 'do' macro photography using my 120-400mm sigma, and a kenko extension tube I put between the camera and the lens (35mm). It's not as good as 'the real thing', but it'll do.
Summer is here in the Netherland (has been heer for over a week), and so it's time to go after the butterflies, dragonflies (and other flying insects I might encounter).
Today I took some pictures of other small things too. Pictures of damselfies (Green-eyed Hawker Aeshna isosceles , Variable Damselfly, Coenagrion pulchellum) and some other flies I uploaded to the main site.
